Quadratum is an auditioned or invited music ensemble for young people beginning from age 8. The core music practiced includes traditional Ghanaian Drumming and Songs, South Indian Solkattu, sung musics written prior to the 17th century, musics from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, new composed sung musics, and games intended to test deduction and cognition as it pertains to sound and music relationships. There is an ensemble for older musicians that primarily focuses on singing pieces from the above categories. During non-pandemical times, these groups sing together. The groups practice in the outdoor park and indoor sanctuary of Marietta First United Methodist Church. To audition or for other inquiries, call 770 575 8781 or write directors@quadratum.online.
