Brian Parks

The above track came about at the behest of Reverend Diann Bailey, Associate Minister at First Church Suffield. She asked that I “illuminate” the text (Acts 2: 1-21) with organ responses to the dramatic reading. The day on the liturgical calendar was Pentecost, the day when everyone is allowed to be a bit wild programmatically. The organ is by Gress-Miles and was their only tracker-action instrument. The choral response is “Mensural Alleluia”, a piece I composed in 2011 for Higganum Congregational Church, sung here by Schola Wesleiana.
